Dr. Sumin Han is a faculty member at the Korea Science Academy of KAIST in Busan, where he teaches machine learning to gifted science students — returning to the school he himself graduated from in 2013.
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from KAIST, where his dissertation developed spatiotemporal traffic forecasting models informed by urban human activity. His research spans deep learning, graph neural networks, and geospatial AI. Before joining KSA, he worked on applied AI for the financial sector and on LLM agent platforms in industry.
He teaches on the conviction that what happens in a gifted student’s first encounter with real research shapes everything that follows.
